We are delighted to announce that you can hear NICK UNDERWOOD in Dennis Potter’s previously unproduced screenplay of the 1981 novel by DM Thomas on BBC Radio 4 on Saturday the 8th of September at 2.30pm.
DM Thomas’ novel The White Hotel is one of the most famous unmade movies of the last thirty years. Now for the first time, director Jon Amiel who worked with Potter on The Singing Detective, brings Dennis Potter’s screenplay of this Booker nominated novel to Radio 4 audiences.
Also starring Anne-Marie Duff and Bill Patterson, the drama is preceded by a short documentary about the many failed attempts to bring the novel to the screen and the making of this production.
