We’re thrilled audiences can see LEONA SINAMA-PONGOLLE making her professional TV debut playing Aisha in the new series of JAMIE JOHNSON which begins this Thursday, May 7 at 5pm on CBBC and on BBC iPlayer.
The critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning children’s football drama ‘Jamie Johnson’ returns to CBBC for an explosive fifth series. The first of 13 x 30-minute episodes will air on CBBC on Thursday 7 May at 5pm. Following the weekly TX, the new ‘Jamie Johnson’ episodes will be available on demand on BBC iPlayer, alongside all the episodes from the previous four series.
Inspired by the books of Dan Freedman, the series ‘Jamie Johnson’ is about 15-year-old Jamie (Louis Dunn) and his friends who live and breathe football. In Series 5 teenage sensation Jamie Johnson is playing the best football of his life. On the brink of achieving his dream of joining a Premiership club, we follow the twists of fate that leave him contemplating what he really wants from his footballing future.
