Joyce Branagh / Long Day’s Journey Into Night

Featuring

Love & luck to JOYCE BRANAGH who’s stepped into LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT opening this evening at the Queen’s Hall Arts in Hexham and touring the North, including to the Gala Durham and Dukes Lancaster, until 30th May.

Summer 1912: the Tyrones gather in the family home on the coast of New England. After years of separation they are reunited again, full of hope for the future. But as day passes into night their love will be tested to the utmost as the ghosts of the past come to haunt them and they all are drawn back into a past they hoped to escape.

Usually the preserve of London and Broadway, Elysium brings O’Neill’s autobiographical masterpiece to the North in a stunning new 70th Anniversary production, playing at many of our venues for the first time.
