Make sure you tune in to tonight’s EMMERDALE to see JOHN MIDDLETON in a special standalone episode for Ashley, on ITV1 at 7pm.

The episode will be seen entirely from Ashley’s point of view, as he wanders out of hospital – where he is being treated for a minor accident – and onto the streets alone.

The scenes will see see Emmerdale‘s camerawork and editing have a different feel. It also previews how the crew have recreated Ashley’s perspective using specific cinematography techniques and voiceovers.

Previously discussing what was in store for his character during the special episode, John said: “What we’re trying to do is very experimental.

“We’re trying to see inside Ashley’s head – how it is for him and the way in which he perceives the world.

“It’s tricky, and he is in an advanced state of confusion in this episode. He keeps jumping, in terms of where he thinks he is, or when he thinks he is, or who he thinks he’s with.”
